The Little We Have Left

The heart can see things we can’t.

It can feel things we shouldn’t.

It can love without a manual .

It holds things we don’t know.

The mind is a powerful thing.

It can catch things you can’t.

Sometimes it doesn’t catch the unexpected.

It never saw my future, or what happen yesterday.

It never caught that death of my loved one today.

Will it ever catch the things that hurt me the most?

Will it ever show me how to love?

Will it ever show me who I love?

How to do it, and what to say.

My soul is something different.

Something not everyday we see.

It comes in those deep times, when I cry for

The sins we make. Those sad times,

Or those hard times, fill my eyes with a low glow.

I never saw myself loving you like the way I do.

I never saw you betraying me, like the way you did and do.

Maybe never again my heart will feel you.

Hopefully again I can get to know the real you.

The little we have left is was I don’t see.

The little we have left, the things we could be.

From head to toe, my body shivers at the thought of thee.

It shuts off my central powers, my brain and my heart

Do you see?

But it does not shut off the one thing you cannot see.

The soul that operates my mind and lays deep inside my soul is me.
